Bond by the Lake is a new event inspired by the Roaring 20s and the Golden Age of Jazz, featuring a day of live music, dancing, great food, art, photography, workshops and more.
The event will take place on the beautiful campus of Bond University in Robina, just a short drive from Foreshore Mermaid Beach accommodation. It will feature live music from Melbourne swing and jazz band the Woohoo Revue, the Swing Force Big Band and Melissa Western, as well as a host of roving performers who will be entertaining crowds throughout the day. Apart from all the great music, you can check out a traditional 1920s dance workshop led by the Empire Swing group, browse an antique car exhibition, explore art and photography exhibitions and tuck into delicious fresh local cuisine.
At midday, the Long Lunch by the Lake will combine Great Gatsby era glamour with a fantastic four course meal and the finest local wines and beers. The meal will be prepared by celebrity chef Simon Grigulius and will be set against the beautiful backdrop of the lake.
Don’t miss this unique local event this spring!
